Boeing ha iniziato l’assemblaggio finale del primo 787-10 nel dicembre 2016, come abbiamo comunicato in un nostro precedente articolo. Il 787-10 sarà di 5,5 m più lungo del 787-9, condividendone il 95% delle parti: notevole è l’economia di scala raggiunta.
Le prime consegne sono previste per il 2018: inizialmente verrà utilizzato da Singapore Airlines e United Airlines.
Il primo volo del 787-10, che monta motori Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 TEN, dovrebbe comunque avvenire entro il 2017.
