questi vanno grounded a vita, non e' un mero errore di calcolo, e' strafottenza valutativa che non ammette scusanti.

And to all of you, who are blaming the crew, saying something about punishment. Do you know how many similar situations were there? Plenty. Do you know how did almost all of them end? Fence, fire, victims. PF (or whoever took over, haha) is a HERO. Even though a mistake was made (D5), he decided to get into the air and had enough skill to do so, so "Aviate" part was perfectly done. What lead to the initial mistake? Certainly not training or skill, it's overwhelming regulations and stress, BEG is also very busy airport, you have to get used to it. You can't even imagine how many things we have to think about every fraction of a second, including how to not be blamed for b&*ls**t later. Think again, we need more pilots like this, and yes, they were also lucky of course - no closeup non-fragile obstacles.

They must receive medals, a lot of rest, and some community work to make it right. And then fly again, as these guys will *never* allow such mistake to repeat, and flying skills they have, oh yeah...

Non ho capito bene, hanno staccato mezzo chilometro dopo la fine della pista sfasciando tutto e non sono rientrati subito ma hanno continuato fino a destinazione?
Se è così, ottima pubblicità per Embraer, immagino già lo slogan "our airplanes can survive the worst pilots ever"
