Last Tuesday there was a special guest here at Berlin-Tegel airport: Lufthansa´s latest A380 D-AIMI named "Berlin". After the official ceremony the plane was christened by the Mayor of the City of Berlin. I was very happy to see this giant once again in Tegel
.
So, and here we go...
Arrival at 9.45am.
A warm welcome... these are the flags of the City of Berlin: red-white-red with the well known Berlin bear in the center.
In the background you can see the famous airport terrace... a lot of people came to see this big bird, but not as many as while the first A380 visit in Tegel back in 2010.

The C-17 arrived about 2h earlier... the A380 departed for an one hour during round trip over the city (at 3.000ft!)
Finally the A380 departed to Frankfurt at 5pm... doing a low-pass and shaking with its wings to say goodbye !!!
