Hi my friends,
In occasion with the 50 years anniversary of the Fighter Wing 33 ( JaboG 33 ) last week, we have been to Büchel Airbase on three days.
We have been there Thursday to capture the arriving of "POB" Pride of Boelcke, and Friday then finally for the photo-call.
And on Saturday we enjoyed even the familyday too, chatting with aircrews and havin burgers too
For the 50 years anniversary, one of the Fighter Bomber Wing 33 Tornado IDS ( 45+44 ) was adorend with a spectacular painting.
You can see on the airframe ( tail sections ) two different sights, one is from the Fighter Sqdn 331"Ghosts" and the other of the Fighter Sqdn 332 "Devils" which looks really nice and was made out of nice airbrushing.Even the belly is marked with the Wing insignia and the shows what the wing is celebrating - 50 yrs FBW 33 and the partnership with the United States.Showing the Stars and Stripes from the USA too.
And also the Tornado ECR of the Fighter Bomber Wing 32 was @ Büchel for the familyday, and shows as well two different sites, one of the 321 Tigers and the other of the 322 Sqdn "Monsters" in a really nice blue coating with a typical Bavarian backdrop too.
So all in all lots of colored a/c - 3 Tornados, F-4 , T-33 and a Bo-105 all in special colours....A really good day
Special thanks goes to the retiring S1 officer Mr.Schauf and his whole team, as @ Crossbow mentioned already too, for organizing that brilliant event
He will be retiring this year-job well done Mr Schauf.
