Hi gents,
hope u dont mind when I will "sneak" in some GAF F-104G images which I took last month @ Memmingen , former home of the JBG 34"Allgäu"....when I was able to capture 20+05 during a brilliant Nightshooting.
So after 7 months of hard work we traveled again down to Bavaria, as the wx forecast was more as good for that day, to capture 20+05 in her element.
Adorned with an outstanding Norm 83 c/s and has been restored in 3000 hours into these conditions by a group of F-104 enthusiasts from October 2004 - June 2006 at Memmingen. The real serial will be 20+98.
And as the planning for this shooting lasts already since last October and due to weather and other factors, so again my decision was easy...driving down to Memmingen in the morning and returning home afterwards, so we spent 8,5 hrs driving back and for and almost 850 km - but it was more as worth, and this was the first time ever a GAF F-104G in "Norm 83" to capture during a nice sunset almost "fully" operational, at least all lights as there is no engine anymore "inside" the ´104!
Thanks must go to everyone involved, who made this shooting happen..... from illuminate the jet, technicians who were responsible for switching on all lights on the ´One-o-four´, etc. and everyone did an extraordinary job!!!
Here you will find my personal highlights from that visit last month at20Memmingen, as my main focus was to capture that ´104 during sunset and even the magic hour.
All the hard work has paid off, and the results are these great images.
Ok enough of my blabla, and the impressions will tell the rest of the story.
More will follow.......so keep your eyes open.
Here u will find also one image in "large":

Mick
