Airliners.net: a un click dalla fine?

Come si vede dal link fornito da Chris76 hanno già fatto marcia in dietro (in malo modo).
Pessimo comunque averci provato, dovrebbero scusarsi ed eliminare le nuove clausole totalmente.

Io non ho ricevuto alcuna mail, ma con queste condizioni, se confermate, col pipi che gli metto altre foto...
La correzione di rotta sembrerebbe comunque solo un posticipo di tempi, o ho capito male?

Il problema è che d'ora in avanti A.net sarà libera di disporre di tutte le foto presenti nel suo database e venderle a terzi per pubblicazioni, riviste, calendari, poster, cartoline eccetera eccetera... senza dover nemmeno mettere il nome di chi ha fatto la foto.
In questo modo A.net si riempierà le tasche con i soldi derivati da queste vendite mentre i fotografi resteranno a bocca asciutta. In termini legali, credo, il fotografo non potrà obbiettare in quanto ha accettato i termini e le condizioni d'uso del sito. In parole povere le foto NON SONO PIÙ LE VOSTRE.

Trovo sia scandaloso che si cerchi di trarre un guadagno personale da una gallery alla quale miglialia di persone hanno contribuito, con fatica e sacrifici, costi, levatacce, a formare una documentazione che rappresenta la storia dell'aviazione mondiale in generale.

Credo che a questo punto l'interesse principale di A.net non stia più nell'aviazione ma bensì nell'aspetto economico. E questo, oltre che essere una cosa intollerabile, è anche un peccato.

Non ho molte foto su A.net, ma di sicuro pubblicherò i miei scatti altrove in futuro.

Nel frattempo la faccenda sembra - almeno parzialmente - rientrata.

Ora vi è la seguente frase come introduzione ai "Terms of use":

WE HAVE RECEIVED A LOT OF FEEDBACK AND HAVE DECIDED TO INDEFINITELY POSTPONE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW POLICIES FOR PRE-EXISTING USERS. WE WILL REVISE THE POLICIES TO ADDRESS ALL OF THE CONCERNS WE HAVE RECEIVED. THIS IS A PROCESS OF COLLABORATIVE RULE-SETTING. WE LISTEN TO OUR MEMBERS AND WILL ADDRESS THEIR CONCERNS.

La pressione a cui è stata sottoposta Demand Media - da parte di centinaia e centinaia di fotografi - nelle ultime ore a qualcosa forse è servita.

Sia quel che sia, la mia fiducia in questo sito è andata proprio a quel paese e le brutte sensazioni che ebbi al momento del passaggio del sito da Lundgren agli americani si sono purtroppo confermate. Che delusione.

Credo che alla base di un simile passo falso ci sia il fatto che ora alla guida del sito non ci sono più dei bravi fotografi ma degli smanettoni informatici.

Quindi mi sa che hanno copiato i nuovi TOI da un sito sbagliato, se fossero andati a vedere cosa diveva la "concorrenza", come qui ha fatto Nicola, potevano evitare tutto questo.

Sempre leggendo nel thread dedicato alla questione nel forum di fotografia di a.net.

Come si diceva i "Terms of Use" (ToU) che hanno fatto imbufalire la comunita di a.net sono stati ritirati e sostituiti con la vecchia versione.
Nel frattempo, l'équipe del sito si è nuovamente messa al lavoro per cercare di trovare una soluzione che accontenti gli spotter e soprattutto riesca a ridare un po' di fiducia. Ora i nuovi ToU sono stati sottoposti anche agli spotter-screener, che dovrebbero fare - spero - l'interesse di tutti noi essendo dei veri appassionati (per la valutazione della versione orribile pubblicata e poi ritirata, a quanto pare, gli screener non erano nemmeno stati interpellati e Demand Media aveva fatto di testa sua segnando un clamoroso autogoal).

Vediamo cosa partoriranno questa volta. Tra qualche giorno sapremo.
