Ciao a tutti ,
a special visitor came to Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) yesterday (19.11.). The German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz -DRK) organised a relief flight to the Philippines, so a Saudia Cargo B744F was chartered therefor.
I was very pleased with the opportunity to accompany the DRK while the Jumbo was loaded. 90 minutes, no restrictions, a real Jumbo Jet... oh my gosh!
I hope you´ll enjoy my brief photographic summary:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
First there was a brief presentation at DRK´s Logistics Center at 11 a.m.
Meanwhile the Jumbo had landed and "waited" for us at its parking position, which will be part of the BER Airport in future.
The Turkish crew (the aircraft is owned by ACT Airlines) was very, very, very friendly and allowed us to take pictures in the cockpit. "Wanna sit on the captain´s seat? No problem!"
Just incredible...
As I said: No restrictions .
In thrust we trust
My favorite load onboard of this flight: Three Land Cruisers.
Finally: Indeed, the BER Airport do exist .
And that´s all folks! I hope that you liked it. Questions, feedback - anytime !
Greets,
Paul
