Hi gents,
I was in WTM a week prior the NTM 2010 started, phor a visit to see the last 40 mighty Phantoms there and here my shots, it was indeed another great day in Wittmund.....!
For eyerone who needs still some GAF Phantoms, it will be time, as in 2010 they still flew 5000 flight hours, and in 2011 only 3000 - so time is ticking for the mighty Phantom in Wittmund.
Also they will have another Baltic Air Policing by NATO: Protecting the Air Space of Lithuania from January 2011. So again less flying in Wittmund!
Ok enough for now, let tell the pictures the rest of the story...... hope you enjoy them, and comments & critiques are more as welcome.
More to come...stay tuned!!!
Cheers
Mick....

Only the early birds succeeded...Wittmund during a really nice sunset
07.55 local the QRA dudes are the phirst who taxied that norning....
The low sun illuminate every detail on the belly of these mighty Phantoms on last chance.....
Taxiing out to the holding point Rwy 08,with two fellas smoking away
Still some nice light during the first wave departs.....QRA Phantoms are the phirst
QRA close-up.....taxiing down Rwy 26
Then it was time for a re-positioning near the runway for some burners...
QRA on the go.....
Another smokers departs Rwy 26
The Phantom looks phantastic at this angle.....
