SkyAlps Airline Signs Letter of Intent (LOI) with Tamarack Aerospace for a Fuel-Saving Sustainable Upgrade to the SkyAlps Fleet
US congress members set to comment on importance of this LOI at the 2023 Paris Airshow

Bolzano, Italy – SkyAlps has signed a Letter of Intent with Tamarack Aerospace Group to partner in the development of the world’s most efficient regional aircraft. SkyAlps intends to make a global impact on aviation sustainably by offering a highly modified DeHavill and Q400 regional aircraft to the world. The aircraft modifications will feature significant emissions reductions. In addition to SkyAlps and Tamarack, other noteworthy aviation-related companies will have their technology and products integrated into the Q400.

SkyAlps & Tamarack will offer the world’s most sustainable, lightest, and quietest Q400
The aircraft will be upgraded with Tamarack’s Eco-SMARTWING™ technology, improving the performance and safety of SkyAlps’ modified fleet while offering significantly reduced emissions, noise pollution reduction and meaningful fuel savings.

Along with SkyAlps, Tamarack and other major industry leaders plan to offer the world’s lightest, quietest, and most sustainable Q400 design. SkyAlps is expected to announce details of a demonstration tour from Bolzano, Italy, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and then to Tokyo, Japan, with the upgraded Q400 aircraft in November of this year to showcase the upgraded aircraft.

Two US congressional aviation leaders are expected to attend the Paris Airshow June 19-25, 2023 and specifically comment on the importance of global partnerships featuring sustainable technology between aviation leaders like SkyAlps and Tamarack.

Tamarack Eco-SMARTWING™ wing tips are being readied for the demonstration tour in November 2023

The SkyAlps’ fleet will be upgraded with new cockpit avionics offering weight savings and operational efficiencies for better fuel-savings using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) when available and employing sustainable and the most efficient route planning. Further, the aircraft will be upgraded with Tamarack’s Eco-SMARTWING technology reducing fuel consumption as much as three times as outdated traditional winglets in use now. New Q400 aircraft interiors will be installed, featuring weight savings and unsurpassed passenger comfort. The combined capabilities of these upgrades can also be adapted by other aviation industry operators. SkyAlps is proud to be equipping its own growing fleet and also offering the sustainable upgraded package to other airlines.

Details of the SkyAlps’ and Tamarack upgraded Q400 aircraft and the appearance of the US congressional leaders will be announced before the show begins on Monday, June 19.
