Emirates Moves Forward A380 Munich Operation Launch Date to late-Nov 2011

As per 10OCT11 GDS timetable display, Emirates is moving forward the launch date of Airbus A380 on Dubai – Munich route from 01JAN12 to 25NOV11.
A380 service will be operating on EK049/050.

From 06DEC11 to 12DEC11, Lufthansa is operating Airbus A380 aircraft on Munich – New York JFK route, replacing Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
With Munich – New York JFK operated by A380 during the week of 06DEC11, its 1 of 2 Daily Frankfurt – New York JFK service will be operated by A340-300 instead of -600.

As per 10OCT11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Emirates has postponed planned Airbus A380 service on Dubai – Kuala Lumpur EK346/347 service by one month.
Original launch date was scheduled on 01DEC11, but this has moved to 01JAN12.
During the month of December 2011, EK346/347 continues to operate with Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

China Southern A380 Configuration Info

China Southern has released initial information regarding Airbus A380 configuration. The 506-seater A380 is configured in F8C70Y428.
First Class, 1-2-1 layout, is located on the lower deck. Business Class, situated on the upper deck, is 1-2-1, similar to current staggered layout used by ANA and ASIANA AIRLINES.
Economy Class is configured as 3-4-3, mostly on the main deck, while the upper deck location has 10 rows towards the rear (2-4-2 on Upper deck).
The Skyteam member currently schedules the A380 to operate new Beijing – Paris CDG, according to sources fro China. Image of the configuration was released initially by a user on Sina Weibo (mostly known as chinese version of twitter).

Bene. Un altro aeroporto che si aggiunge alla lista di quelli già serviti dall'A380.
P.S.: mi chiedo se e quando l'A380 verrà utilizzato da un vettore europeo sulle rotte per LAX e HKG. Forse la prima sarà British.
La mossa di EK che anticipa l'arrivo del A380 su MUC è una contromossa rispetto a LH che aveva programmato il 380 sulla MUC-JFK solo per una settimana a dicembre per poter dire di essere la prima compagnia ad operare voli di linea con questo aereo da MUC. Salvo ulteriori cambiamenti la sfida del primo A380 da MUC la vincerà invece EK.
Eh già, sembra proprio che sia così, hanno voluto anticipare LH e hanno invertito l'inizio dei voli su KUL e MUC: la capitale malese infatti comincerà ad essere servita dall'A380 solo a gennaio.
