Differenziamo però tra i gestori e gli handler. I primi guadagnano coi LF alti di FR perché le tasse aeroportuali dei singoli pax, sommate, generano utili interessanti; i secondi tendono a soffrire perché FR, quando paga, paga pochissimo. Una volta ho consultato le nostre tariffe di handling e ho notato che, a parità di aeromobile, tonnellaggio e posti, FR paga 4-5 volte di meno rispetto alle altre compagnie che operano col B738.
Quando handler e gestore coincidono il tutto finisce in un unico calderone dove i rami in perdita sono compensati da quelli in utile. Potrebbe essere il caso della SACBO di BGY, per esempio.
Da noi la gestione è in utile, l'handling no, ma fino a quando i due rami non si scindono la situazione è stabile. Si parla però di creare Sacal Handling, una realtà che fallirebbe ad un solo anno dalla sua creazione (fonte: il direttore). Paradossalmente, senza handling il gestore potrebbe incassare di più, ma non avrebbe più fonti di guadagno.
Le situazioni nei vari aeroporti sono molto complesse, è sbagliato dire che con FR si guadagna o si perde a prescindere. Sicuramente si può dire che ha generato un sistema non concorrenziale e di dubbia legittimità.

Il gestore è SEA, l'handling è AH (un tempo SEA Handling, poi ribattezzata dopo il fallimento). Società distinte ma della stessa "famiglia".

Budget airline Ryanair will be opening a base at Schiphol airport this winter. The airline’s initial plan is for about 10 flights per day.
Sources close to the Irish airline confirmed this to the Telegraaf late on Monday. The decision will be officially announced in the coming weeks. Ryanair is currently active in the Netherlands only on Eindhoven airport.
Ryanair was awarded so-called landing slots at Schiphol for the winter season, which starts on October 25th. The airline had until Monday, August 31st, to decide whether or not they will actually use them.
Discount air carrier EasyJet established a base at Schiphol this summer with three of its own planes. The British airline, and Ryanair competitor, intends to add a fourth aircraft this autumn.

“Ryanair’s August traffic grew by 10% to 10.4m customers, while our load factor jumped 2% points to 95%. These record monthly numbers and load factors are due to our lower fares, our stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme, which continues to deliver stronger than expected traffic and load factors on our biggest ever summer schedule.
Ryanair customers can look forward to more service enhancements in the autumn, as we continue Year 2 of our AGB programme, which include our new car hire service, a new website, new app, new cabin interiors, new crew uniforms, and improved inflight menus, as Ryanair continues to deliver so much more than just the lowest fares in Europe.”

- Rolling annual traffic to August grew 15% to 96.3m customers.

Traffico passeggeri in crescita per Ryanair. La compagnia aerea low cost ha annunciato che nel mese di agosto sono stati trasportati 10,4 milioni di passeggeri, in crescita del 10% rispetto ad agosto 2014. Il fattore di carico è, invece, cresciuto del 2%, passando dal 93 al 95 per cento. Sulla Borsa di Londra il titolo Ryanair mostra un progresso dell'1,73 per cento.

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (2 Sep) launched its London summer 2016 schedule, with 4 new routes to/from Milan Malpensa, Sofia, Verona and Vilnius, over 150 routes in total and extra flights on 20 routes, which will deliver 22.8m customers p.a. (+1.4m) and support more than 17,000* jobs at London Stansted, London Gatwick and London Luton.
Ryanair’s London summer 2016 schedule will deliver:

Customers can next look forward to a new personalised website, with great new digital features such as ‘hold the fare’ and destination content (from October), as well as an enhanced insurance product (from October), new crew uniforms and improved inflight menus (both from November) and new cabin interiors (from January). Ryanair also announced that it will introduce defibrillators on all of its aircraft from November, following consulation with its customers.

P.S. Questa mattina con l'ausilio di Flight Radar 24 ho ricostruito i voli di ieri di FR da Stansted. Come recita il comunicato effettivamente base con 37 aerei , decollano tutti e 37 gli aerei tra le 6:05 e le 9:00 e nello stesso orario atterrano e ridecollano entro le ore 9:00 altri 24 aerei provenienti da altre basi. Una vera macchina da guerra FR. Complimenti vivissimi.
