Le altre compagnie che hanno ordinato l'A380 ma ancora non hanno ricevuto esemplari sono: 1 Privato (che ha pero' cambiato proprietario), 2 Air Austral (probabile la cancellazione), 6 Asiana, 10 Etihad, 10 Hong Kong Airlines, 5 Kingfisher Airlines (quasi certa la cancellazione), 10 Qatar Airways, 6 Skymark Airlines, 4 Transaero, 6 Virgin Atlantic.

Ma secondo voi TG, MH e OZ guadagneranno dai loro A380? Oppure hanno ordinato solo per prestigio (magari per rispondere alle rivali come SQ o KE)? 6 aerei forse sono un po' pochini visti i costi di manutenzione e per addestrare il personale.

Emirates to Start Daily A380 Mauritius Service from mid-December 2013

Emirates from 16DEC13 is to introduce Airbus A380 service on Dubai – Mauritius route, where it’ll operate 1 of 2 daily flight, replacing Boeing 777-300.

THAI to Start Airbus A380 Service to Osaka from late-October 2013

Based on latest schedule update on 12JUL13, THAI is to introduce Airbus A380 operation on Bangkok – Osaka Kansai route, starting 27OCT13. A380 aircraft to operate on TG622/623 service, replacing Boeing 747-400.

British Airways on 02AUG13 plans to operate Airbus A380 aircraft on London Heathrow – Frankfurt route, as per 01AUG13 GDS timetable/inventory display. BA is scheduled to operate 2 round-trip flights on this date only. BA opened reservation for A380 operation on 31JUL13 and no further adjustment was made in the GDS on 01AUG13.

Flies to Hamburg for painting and cabin installation

Qatar Airways’ first A380 took off from Toulouse on its maiden flight to Hamburg where the aircraft will be fitted with its cabin before being painted. The Doha based carrier has firm orders for ten A380s and will become the eleventh airline to join the prestigious club of A380 operators when it takes delivery of this aircraft in 2014. Since first entering service in 2007, 108 A380s are in operation with ten world class carriers and have accumulated over one million flight hours in more than 120,000 commercial flights. To date 44 million passengers have already enjoyed the unique experience of flying on board an A380.

Final assembly of first Asiana Airlines A380 underway


First aircraft scheduled for delivery in second quarter of 2014

Assembly of the first A380 for South Korea’s Asiana Airlines is now underway at the Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. The main sections of the aircraft arrived in recent weeks from the various manufacturing sites around Europe and are now being attached at the airframe assembly station (Station 40). Asiana Airlines will become the twelfth operator of the A380 when it takes delivery of its first aircraft in the second quarter of 2014. The airline has firm orders for six A380s and will operate the aircraft on its primary routes from Seoul to the US.
