Air Austral orders 2 "Terrible Teen" 787-8

According to sources, Boring will deliver LN 15 and LN 22 to Air Austral, the French holiday carrier. Air Austral had ordered but did not take delivery of 777-300ER. It now appears that Air Austral switched the order for the 787-8. It appears they will take delivery on LN 22 this year and LN 15 next year.

This may be the unidentified order for two 787s that Boeing posted on their Order and Delivery website on Feb. 12th though I'm still trying to confirm this.

Air Tahiti Nui agrees to order Boeing 787s

Air Tahiti Nui (ATN), the major carrier of French Polynesia, has decided to order four Boeing 787-9 aircraft to replace its fleet of Airbus A340-300s.
Boeing and the airline intend to formalize the order soon, and deliveries of the 787s are due to begin in the fourth quarter of 2018. Two will be owned by ATN and the other two will be leased. The engine choice has not yet been determined.
ATN currently operates five Airbus A340s, with four used in scheduled long-haul service and one mainly for charters, the carrier told ATW. The four 787s will only be used to meet the scheduled network requirements. The airline’s A340s are a mix of leased and owned aircraft.
While ATN is still working on the configuration of the 787s, the carrier says they are “broadly similar in size” to the A340s, with the 787s offering about 4% more seat capacity.
The Tahitian carrier was launched in 1998, and currently operates routes to Auckland, Tokyo, Paris and Los Angeles. It offers flights from New Zealand to Paris, via Tahiti and Los Angeles. ATN serves Australian destinations via a codeshare with Qantas, connecting in Auckland.

Boeing Donates ZA002 to Pima Air and Space Museum
In a surprise flight, ZA002, the 2nd test 787-8 was flown to Davis Monthan Air Force Base where it will be turned over to the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tuscon, Az.

The aircraft accumulated over 960 flight hours over 300 flights in support of flight testing and certification of the 787-8. After it had completed these tasks Boeing stored the aircraft in Palmdale, Ca. until the flight today to Arizona.

ZA002 first flew on Dec. 22, 2009, one week after the maiden flight of sistership ZA001. It had suffered an in flight fire on November 9, 2010 due to a piece of solder in a power distribution panel had caused a short circuit. The aircraft landed safely in Texas without any injuries but this fire and the subsequent investigation and required fixes set back the 787 deliveries by 6 months.

Boeing parks two American Airlines 787s in desert as it waits on delayed seat delivery

Boeing is reluctantly storing two new 787 Dreamliners in the California desert as it waits for French seat maker Zodiac Aerospace to catch up with delivery of its high-end seats.
Seat shortages have been a recurring problem for Boeing's 787 production.
The two jets were set to be delivered to American Airlines (Nasdaq: AAL) late last year. American CEO Doug Parker expressed frustration in a recent speech to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, according to Bloomberg News.
“It’s slow, it’s a real problem,” he said. “We can all complain about seat manufacturers, but we can’t fly the airplanes without proper seats. It is really disappointing.”
The aircraft are to be stored in Victorville, Calif., a commonly used site for aircraft storage because of the dry climate.
