Grazie, ma intendevo quando era inserita nella blacklist.
Non so. Nel 2007/8, l'ultimo anno in cui mi ero occupato di EASA e black lists, il ban era per tutte le compagnie aeree indonesiane causa manifesta incapacita' dell'ENAC locale di effettuare le dovute attivita' di controllo; se Lion Air Thailand operava con AOC thailandese, ed era basata in Thailandia, sottoposta ai controlli di quel paese, allora forse le cose sarebbero state diverse. Bisognerebbe guardare nei bollettini precedenti di EASA.

Lion Air jet one of Boeing's newest, most-advanced planes

(CNN) The Lion Air jet in Monday's crash off Indonesia was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, one of the plane maker's newest and most-advanced jets.
Indonesian authorities listed the plane's registration number as PK-LQP. Soerjanto Tjahjono, head of the National Transport Safety Committee (NTSC), said the plane was delivered to Lion Air in August. Planespotters.net, a website that monitors air traffic, shows it was one of 11 Boeing 737 MAX 8s in the Lion Air fleet. The 737 MAX 8 is one of the latest versions of a jet that was introduced in 1967. More than 10,000 737s have been produced, making it the best-selling jetliner of all time. The MAX versions of the 737s are touted for their LEAP jet engines which Boeing says "redefine the future of efficient and environmentally friendly air travel." Boeing says the 737 MAX jets are 10% to 12% more efficient that their predecessors. The LEAP engines are manufactured by CFM International, a joint venture between GE Aviation in the US and Safran Aircraft Engines of France.
CNN aviation analyst Peter Goelz called the loss of such a new aircraft "highly unusual." But because the Lion Air jet's pilot and co-pilot were experienced -- 6,000 and 5,000 flight hours respectively -- and weather did not seem to be a factor, investigators would be focusing on the aircraft, said Goelz, a former chairman of the US National Transportation Safety Board. Lion Air has been one of Boeing's biggest customers for its 737s.
In 2011, the companies announced a $21.7 billion order for 230 of the single-aisle, twin-engine jets. Boeing at the time said it was the largest single order for commercial jets in Boeing history, both in terms of the number of planes and the dollar value. The companies announced the deal at the East Asia Summit in Bali as then-US President Barack Obama looked on.
Since then, Lion Air has become the first airline to put the 737 MAX 8 into service in 2017, order and take delivery of the 737 MAX 9, and in April it ordered 50 of the 737 MAX 10, the largest of the line, in a $6.24 billion deal. Besides the MAX series, Boeing builds three versions of the Next Generation 737, the 700, 800 and 900. Those planes are powered by different engines than the MAX.
To keep up with the orders, Boeing's website says it's making 52 planes in the 737 family every month at its factory in Renton, Washington, near Seattle.

Purca pupazza che tragedia.
Il fatto che abbiamo chiesto un rientro in uno qualsiasi dei due apt di Giacarta mi fa pensare che noi sia stato un problema improvviso ed ingestibile, salvo poi rivelarsi tale. Qualcuno parla di techlog entry fatta dall'equipaggio precedente riguardo una unreliable airspeed avuta dopo il decollo...
Per i non avezzi sarebbe? Grazie

Questa pagina del tech log gira su internet, ma sembra che non ne sia stata provata l'autenticità.
Di fatto, se ci fai caso, sulla colonna di sx il PIC riporta una "discreepancy" shortly after Take off e nella colonna subito accanto ci dovrebbe essere una "maintenance action" , corrective action, o un semplice "noted". Invece la casella è vuota. In basso a dx c'è poi la data di maintenance release al 08/10/18.... mah, mi puzza un pochino.

Gira anche un video girato dentro un altro aereo (immagino della Lion) durante una brutta turbolenza che viene spacciato come video del volo precipitato... Ovviamente è un fake, o meglio girato a bordo di un altro volo tra l'altro operato da un 738 (si riconoscono le cappelliere).

Lion Air crash: Sonar and drones used in Indonesian search

Drones and sonar technology have been deployed in Indonesia to search for a Lion Air passenger plane which crashed into the sea on Monday.

Flight JT 610 went down after taking off from Jakarta with 189 passengers and crew on board.
There has been no sign of survivors but debris and personal belongings have been collected from the water.
There is no indication yet of what caused the plane to go down 13 minutes after taking off.
Officials say the pilot of the Boeing 737, which was heading for the western city of Pangkal Pinang, had asked to return to Soekarno-Hatta airport shortly before losing contact with air traffic control.

A log obtained by the BBC showed the plane had encountered technical problems while flying from Bali to Jakarta the previous day.
The log showed one instrument was giving "unreliable" airspeed readings and the captain had to hand over to the first officer. Altitude readings also differed on the captain and first officer's instruments.
Lion Air's chief executive Edward Sirait said on Tuesday that the plane had been repaired before taking off again.

'Her face fills my mind'

Another day of waiting for the families and loved ones of those on board.
Now they sit outside Jakarta's police hospital where bodies are being brought.
Lion Air is providing free flights from Bangka for families, like Surya's.
"They have all come hoping for some closure and certainty," she says. Her younger sister was on the plane. "We want a body to grieve. She was the youngest in our family, so we all loved her very much. It feels very painful to lose the baby of the family."
Outside the hospital I meet Murtado Kurinawan, whose newly-wed wife was on the plane, travelling for work.
He has brought her toothbrush in the hope it will help with the identification process. "I can't stop thinking about her. Her face fills my mind all the time," he said.
The plane plunged in coastal waters that are about 30m (100ft) deep north-east of Jakarta.
Investigators say they are hopeful of finding the main fuselage. Search teams are using an underwater drone, as well as underwater "pinger locators" to try to pick up the sonar signals from the cockpit recorders.



Search teams have been retrieving body parts, aircraft debris and personal items. Body bags are being taken to Jakarta for identification.
Another search official, Yusuf Latif, earlier said it would be "a miracle" if survivors were found.



Mr Sutopo has also warned against hoaxes that have been spreading on social media, including pictures that users claimed were taken by passengers in their last moments before the plane went down.

In a statement, Boeing said it stood "ready to provide technical assistance to the accident investigation".
Indonesia, a vast archipelago, is heavily reliant on air travel but many of its airlines have a poor safety record.
It has had issues of safety and poor management in the past and was banned from flying into European airspace until 2016.

Il meteo era ok cosi dicono, per cui non dovrebbero aver avuto problemi di disorientamento, una perdita improvvisa di entrambe i motori?

Al momento, l'unica cosa che mi perplime dell'intera vicenda, è che in 35m d'acqua su di un'area piuttosto ristretta, non abbiano ancora individuato il relitto.

Poi io ci capisco men che niente, però...

Possibile che dopo la perdita di entrambi gli strumenti FO e CPT in 5300ft con meteo ok non siano riusciti a ristabilizzarlo a vista?
