Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Enter Operation on 03JUN12

As per 16SEP11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Berlin Brandenburg Airport is currently scheduled to enter operation on Sunday 03JUN12.

For the moment, airBaltic, Austrian, Lufthansa, Spanair and SWISS will move all of its operation from Berlin Tegel (TXL) to Berlin Brandenburg (BER), as these carriers has updated schedule listing in GDS.

Routes transfer from TXL to BER are:

Berlin – Barcelona (Spanair)
Berlin – Dusseldorf (Lufthansa)
Berlin – Frankfurt (Lufthansa)
Berlin – Moscow Domodedovo (Lufthansa)
Berlin – Nuremberg (Lufthansa)
Berlin – Paris CDG (Lufthansa)
Berlin – Riga (airBaltic)
Berlin – Stuttgart (Lufthansa)
Berlin – Vienna (Austrian. Note Currently OS-coded flight numbers continues to display flights out of Tegel/TXL, Lufthansa LH-coded codeshare flight numbers displays BER)
Berlin – Zurich (SWISS)

Existing carriers operating out of Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenfeld will also move to Brandenburg. GDS will be updated in the coming months.

Dovrebbe trattarsi dell' apertura di un primo blocco di rotte europee infatti clamorosamente finora LH da Berlino sull' internazionale vola solo a Parigi il resto sono tutte rotte domestiche. Nel medio periodo credo che Berlino diventerà come Dusseldorf ovvero un aeroporto con una buona rete di connessioni europee e qualche limitato volo LR su destinazioni selezionate.

PS Ma è stato scelto il codice del nuovo aeroporto? Sarà BER o BBI?

Lufthansa ha appena annunciato sul suo sito FB che il primo volo LH dal BBI sarà operato con A380.

Non hanno specificato se si tratterà di un volo speciale o uno di linea.
